The Wistar Institute has an opening for a Research Assistant to join the lab of Dr. Luis Montaner. The Montaner laboratory combines virological and immune system-based research focused on gene-modified NK cells, HIV infection, and HIV cure-directed research through long-standing community partnerships and clinical trials research. Position level commensurate with experience. The Wistar Institute is located in the University City area of Philadelphia, in the heart of the University of Pennsylvania Campus. Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience working in a laboratory is preferred.
Responsibilities
- lab maintenance (inventory, ordering, lab operations support)
- whole blood isolation
- flowcytometry

- work in BSL-2+ (HIV-infected cell cultures)
