About The Position

Hope Family Center will be working on research studies to collect psychological and biological research data. Research studies are related to examining the impact of stress, trauma, and child maltreatment on mental and physical health among children and adults. The position requires experience conducting research with families from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in appropriate discipline plus 2-3 years specialized experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 1-2 years of research experience working with human subjects or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Driver’s License required
  • Transportation of research participants to and from the Center, transporting biological samples to URMC labs, and recruitment in the community using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity and comfort with Excel, ACCESS, and other databases, and statistical software such as SPSS, are preferred.
  • Phlebotomy preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research sessions with child and adult participants
  • Assist with recruitment of participants for the study
  • Enter research visit information and study data into project databases
  • Contact participants and schedule research visits
  • Process biological samples for analysis
  • Other duties as assigned
