About The Position

The Research Assistant performs a variety of accurate laboratory and clinical data collection, measurement, entry and retrieval procedures in a research setting involving human and/or small animal subjects, completes forms relevant to research and related equipment. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Able to keyboard 40 wpm
  • Able to read
  • Write legibly
  • Speak in English with professional quality
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Collaborate and accept direction
  • Communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone

  • Complete and maintain Loma Linda University Human Studies Education
  • Satisfactory completion of required IACUC-Animal Care and Use Training Program
  • Radiation Safety Training (if applicable) within 30 days of hire and through Animal Care Facility

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of academic laboratory experience preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • Working knowledge of statistical, database and graphic applications preferred
