About The Position

The Research Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting and contributing to research initiatives within the hospital's Anesthesia department. This position provides an opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge medical research projects that can have a profound impact on patient care and healthcare advancements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (preferably in social, biological, computer or healthcare sciences) required
6 months minimum experience as a research assistant in human subjects’ research (or equivalent position) preferred.
Experience facilitating recruitment and follow-up strategies with clinic personnel and operational problem solving.
Skills with Microsoft Office, coding, data analysis, copy machines, fax machines, bladder scanners, EEG equipment preferred

Responsibilities

Research and collects data through complex techniques and procedures, library research, structured interviews, or other project specific methodology.
Interprets, synthesizes, and analyzes data.
Schedules, organizes, and reports on status of research activities.
Plans and modifies research techniques, procedures, tests, equipment, or software management.
Writes and edits materials for publication and presentation.
Meets with faculty supervisor on regular basis to maintain ongoing communication regarding the quality of the assistant’s performance.
Performs other related duties as required.
Gain experience in observing perioperative clinical medicine in the operating room, intensive care, and pain medicine clinic.
