Requirements

  • Acquiring knowledge of research function. Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties.
  • Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
  • Basic consultation and communication skills.
  • Data analysis skills required (quantitative). Proficient in statistical software programs (e.g., SAS, STATA, R)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate easily and effectively with people within and outside the University, including both strong written and verbal communications.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Skill to use a personal computer and computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for general office work. Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with the Internet and how to conduct searches.
  • Proficient writing skills to prepare/compose/review a variety of communications, primarily electronic.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Master's Degree (or substantial experience) in a related health-related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience
  • 5 years of data analysis experience

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience • Previous experience in social & behavioral research, environmental health, and/or health promotion program

Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision of the faculty Principal Investigator for several health equity initiatives, this person will assist with research-related responsibilities, including data analysis, to support the execution of these projects.
  • The goal of these initiatives is to advocate for and reduce health inequities in affected communities.
