About The Position

Performs various support functions in research laboratory using proper procedures to avoid the risk of laboratory-acquired infection or sample-to-sample contamination. Maintains and cleans equipment and the facility; maintains and restocks supplies; and maintains computer database. Works under direct supervision. Attention to detail is essential while dealing with multiple tasks. Flexibility is important in adjusting to frequent changes in work volume. As a hybrid role, this is a work arrangement that supports a combination of offsite (remote) and on-site work according to business needs. On-site expectations are determined by the supervisor and will be discussed during the interview. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. This is a two-year limited tenure position.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Coursework in mathematics and relevant sciences.
• Must have previous work experience that demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Requires manual dexterity, accurate typing, and good communication skills.
• Must be able to prioritize and adjust to changes in work volume.
• Experience with Excel software is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• The preferred candidate will be proficient in machine learning and deep machine learning and research experience in computational neuroscience., such as Alzheimer's disease.
