About The Position

The applicant will research the characteristics and drivers of New England wildfires in observational data. This will involve collecting and analyzing U.S. Forest Service wildfire incident datasets and a suite of weather and climate datasets. Results will be visualized, synthesized, and communicated in a manuscript.

Requirements

  • atmospheric Science B.S. degree
  • strong familiarity with Python and standard climate packages and analysis techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with wildfire weather and climate
  • Evidence of strong scientific writing and communication skills
