Under direct supervision of the Research Managers, assists in the day-to-day functions of all levels of research activities. Maintains a clean, organized work environment by unpacking and storing protocol specific supplies. Assists with patient care aspects by fulfilling screening/protocol specific procedures within clinical scope of practice, including but not limited to, filing, patient database entry, EKGS and lab draws. Provides clerical clinical support as appropriate to Research Coordinator(s). Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant experience required.
  • Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Certificate of completion/graduation form an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in Oncology/Research preferred.
  • Knowledge of current FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice, governing clinical research preferred.
