The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Research Assistant within the light pollution research group . Job duties to include: Evening measurements of sky brightness on clear nights around campus and the surrounding area Collaboration on maintaining a database of high-quality measurements of the sky brightness Submitting reports on measurements to the international Globe at Night database Assisting with the preparation of scientific articles about the results Schedule: Expected hours will be approximately 5-8 hours/week. Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $ 15 /hour . The selected candidate will report to Dr. Chris Palma . Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
