About The Position

The Laboratory of Neural Dynamics and Cognition, led by Dr. Priya Rajesethupathy, focuses on observing and manipulating large-scale neural dynamics in real-time in behaving animals to understand memory processing in the mammalian brain during health and disease. This position is for a Research Assistant to contribute to in vitro studies, including the routine maintenance of mammalian tissue cultures and validation through bench-based experiments. The role offers opportunities to develop additional skills, with potential involvement in in vivo work over time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required
• Coursework or academic exposure in Molecular Biology is required
• At least one year of hands-on experience with mammalian tissue culture, including the ability to perform standard techniques with minimal supervision
• Commitment of at least two years is required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with 2D and 3D tissue cultures
• Experience working with stem cells

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of tissue cultures
• molecular work (e.g. qPCR)
