About The Position

As a Research Assistant, you will help facilitate this vision by assisting with the implementation and conduct of human subject research projects. Your efforts will focus on assisting with various related tasks, such as enhancing diabetic retinopathy screenings and driving improvements in Quality, Safety, and Patient Experience across our system. This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your current skillset within an exciting and innovative healthcare setting. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 4:00PM, with the potential of a hybrid schedule after 90 day training period.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and one year of experience in a healthcare setting OR Bachelor's Degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of computer-based skills, including Word processing, spreadsheets, and database and presentation software.
  • Certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Pre-Med Student.
  • Experience as a Quality Improvement Methodologist.
  • Familiarity with data and statistical software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the research team with research study related tasks.
  • Assist with completion of protocol related activities.
  • Obtain and maintain clinical competencies for unlicensed caregivers such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, POC testing and other testing as needed.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of the research subject schedule in compliance with the research protocol.
  • Assist with the collection, recording and maintenance of research study records.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires, and/or brochures as needed.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems.
  • Order and stock supplies.
