About The Position
Haverford College invites applications for our full-time (37.5 hours per week), exempt, benefits-eligible Research Assistant opportunity. The initial term of employment is one year, with the possibility to extend the appointment, being dependent upon continued funding and successful performance. The successful candidate will support research efforts at the interface of chemistry and biology, with a particular focus on natural product biosynthesis. Applicants with demonstrated lab experience in chemistry, biochemistry and/or molecular biology, as well as a clear commitment to inclusive mentoring, are especially encouraged to apply. The successful applicant should expect to receive training as needed in molecular cloning, protein purification, synthetic chemistry, and advanced spectroscopic techniques, as necessary.
