About The Position

The Research Assistant III Lab at Harvard University is responsible for independently performing and coordinating a wide range of laboratory research procedures. Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Genetics, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in cell studies including flow cytometry is preferred.
  • 1+ years experience performing basic laboratory techniques preferred.
  • Experience with organoid cultures and data analysis is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree is a strong plus.
  • Experience with flow cytometry and basic lab techniques.
  • Proficiency in Excel and R.

Responsibilities

  • Performs cell culture, sample processing, flow cytometry experiments, and immunological studies.
  • Coordinates multiple aspects of research projects and carries out laboratory experiments.
  • Collaborates with other lab members on experimental design, setting up protocols, and developing new laboratory techniques.
  • Processes, organizes, summarizes, and analyzes data, reporting experiment results using various software applications.
  • May train and oversee the work of others in laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Assists with laboratory maintenance, including maintaining and purchasing equipment and supplies.
  • Contributes to unit goals by undertaking other duties as required.
  • Assists with writing manuscripts and analyzing data.
  • Attends conferences.
