About The Position

This is a full-time, calendar year position limited to October 18, 2025 with anticipated renewal. Under general supervision, perform field research and collection and reporting of data. The position involves assisting in performing field research and collection and reporting of data, as well as handling technical field instruments required for completing field research work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or wildlife science (e.g., Wildlife & Conservation Biology, Environmental Science & Management).
  • Minimum one year of experience in environmental or wildlife science field surveys and data collection.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify coastal waterbird species.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field research and collection and reporting of data under general supervision.
  • Assist in performing field research and collection and reporting of data.
  • Handle technical field instruments (e.g., scopes and binocular equipment, field collection of biological samples) required for completing field research work.
  • Perform other routine duties as required.
