About The Position

Works under general direction to either plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in assigned research projects or perform more complex research assignments requiring considerable experience and thorough knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of medical or scientific research. This position is the operational backbone of our lab. Your work will be essential for maintaining our animal colony, producing experimental mice, and acquiring heart rhythm data for experimental studies. Experience with any of the above is a bonus but not required; you will receive hands-on training from both lab PIs. As you acquire more experience, you will be trained to perform a variety of molecular and physiological assays that will complement your skillset and define a career path in cardiovascular research. Precision and attention to detail is essential for this position: strict compliance with the animal protocol is mandatory for conducting ethical work with research animals, and accurate data acquisition and organization is the foundation for meaningful scientific investigation.
