Work as part of a team that Studies include: a) correlations between physiological measures of gait (walking) and sleep disordered breathing from older adults with postmortem brainstem and spinal cord pathology type and burden; b) scoring and analyses of physiological measures from mouse models that are relevant for gait, breathing, arousal and muscle tone. Learn and execute existing pipeline of processing of mouse and postmortem human brainstem and spinal cord, staining for pathological and neurochemical markers, and image analyses. Uses and manages databases and summarizes data. Communicates with collaborating teams outside BIDMC. Attends team meetings to share results, plan projects and present findings to other team members. Update and write standard operating procedures for documentation. Performs literature searches and library investigations as they relate to the research and/or as assigned. Contributes to manuscripts related to the active projects.
