The Vascular Immunology Laboratory of Laurel Y. Lee, M.D., D.Phil. in the Division of Cardiology at the Department of Medicine is looking for a Research Assistant I. Dr. Lee's basic and translational science laboratory is dedicated to understanding the immune- and metabolism-mediated mechanisms underlying vascular disorders with the ultimate goal of improving how we protect our patients' blood vessels against heart attack, stroke, or limb loss. We integrate multidisciplinary approaches, including molecular and biochemical analyses of immune-vascular crosstalk in vitro and in vivo, cellular metabolism and systems biology all guided by the challenges identified in clinical cardiology. Successful candidates will become integral parts of the Laurel Lee Lab and actively contribute to the Lab's scientific discoveries and publications. We are looking for a qualified candidate who will work closely with the principal investigator to provide technical support and help maintain the lab. Prior basic science research experience and mouse work is strongly preferred.
