Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $23.35 - $35.51. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. What you will be doing Research Assistants are hired by the Orthoapedic Trauma Service to assist with departmental research. While a research assistant is expected to contribute in many ways to the research project, typical responsibilities include the following:

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications/requirements Academic and/or work experience related to the field of research, as defined by the Chief of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service and the Research Director for the Orthopaedic Trauma Service.
  • Experience with specialized software or datasets, as required by the supervisor
  • Satisfactory academic progress, as defined by the supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Maintain and collect data for Orthopaedic Trauma Service Clinical Registry
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
  • Prepare materials for Institutional Review Board review submission
  • Screen, and perform informed consent for potential research participants
  • Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and/or supervisor
  • Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
  • Manage and respond to project related email
  • Prepare, maintain, and update study materials
  • Attend Orthopaedic Trauma Service research meetings
  • Attend related conferences and other meetings as necessary
  • Summarize research project results
  • Prepare progress reports for the principal investigator and funding agency
  • Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Orthopaedic Trauma Service members.
