Requirements

• Completion of 2 years of college with emphasis in coursework in the field of assignment.
• High School Graduation or GED.
• 1 year of research experience at the level of Research Technician or equivalent with a Bachelor's degree.
• 4 years of research experience including two years at the level of Research Technician or equivalent with 2 years of college.
• 6 years of research experience with a High School Diploma.
• 2 years at the level of Research Technician or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform scientific and medical research work in fields such as biology, chemistry, or physics.
• Construct, assemble, and operate laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Record and evaluate data obtained from work assignments for use in scientific papers.
• Collaborate with supervisors or other research personnel in preparing scientific papers for publication.
• Read literature and confer with supervisors concerning procedures and implementation.
• Collect and organize research data for project reports.
• Plan for and provide working supervision to Research Technicians or other lower-grade laboratory personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
