About The Position
Works under general direction to provide responsible and skilled technical assistance in performing assignments requiring experience and good knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of medical and scientific research. There is an available Research Assistant I position in the department of Radiology. This candidate will assist in conducting experiments and working on research problems in formulation, cell culture, animal experiments and other related fields by performing basic, routine, and least complex procedures as prescribed by supervisor. Operates various laboratory equipment and apparatus including centrifuge, flow cytometer, cell counter. Records resulting data in accordance with established methods. Confers with supervisor concerning results obtained and modifies procedures in accordance with instruction of supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
