Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant - Department of Urology at its Detroit campus location. The Department of Urology at Wayne State University School of Medicine is accepting applications for a Research Assistant. The primary responsibilities will be to assist in the research and scholarly activities of the faculty and resident physicians of the Department of Urology. In addition to assisting the ongoing research efforts being conducted by departmental faculty, the Research Assistant will also have the opportunity to conduct their own independent research under the mentorship of the Urology Department faculty. The research assistant will work primarily with Dr. Kevin Ginsburg but will have the opportunity to work with the other faculty members. In addition to aiding in institutional research for the department at the Karmanos Cancer Institute, the RA will also support quality improvement and research activities of the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC). Lastly, the RA will work with Dr. Ginsburg clinically and will assist Dr. Ginsburg in his urologic oncology clinic at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. Applicants are expected to pursue a career in urology and will be applying for a urology residency position in the next 12-24 months.
