About The Position
We are searching for a Research Assistant – The research assistant will participate in research activities which may include: subject recruitment, confirmation of subject eligibility, informed consent process, completion of case report forms, data clarification, IRB preparations and medical record abstraction, data collection. The research assistant may also assist physicians with preparing manuscripts, making presentation slides and posters, conducting literature reviews, updating study databases, and taking photographs in a clinical and operative setting. Manuscript preparation may include: writing, referencing, editing, basic medical illustrating, statistical analysis, creating tables and charts, and preparing submissions for publication. The Research Assistant is a key member of the Surgical Research Unit in the Department of Surgery. Projects span the breadth of surgical disciplines from Neurosurgery to Orthopedics to ENT and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
