UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full Time Research Assistant Clinical Research to support the Catov Lab! The Catov Lab is a highly motivated and diverse research team with multiple grants focused on women's health. Our research studies placental health, cardiovascular disease, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, and other conditions that link pregnancy to long-term maternal health. We work with experts in the field to innovate and develop research protocols at the forefront of science. Our protocols have included echocardiography, MRI and cerebrovascular reactivity imaging, retinal imaging, blood biomarker testing, cognition assessments, intervention delivery, and more! This position will support the Heart Health Doula project, which is a single site clinical trial examining whether providing Heart Health focused Doula interventions services can recover blood pressure by one year postpartum for women diagnosed with a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy. The intervention is community based and delivered in partnership with Healthy Start inc. This position will also support the ENRICH project. ENRICH is a multisite clinical trial examining whether 'enriching' evidence-based, home visiting programs with cardiovascular health (CVH) promotion content during the perinatal period improves parents' and children's CVH compared to usual home visiting. The Catov lab is supporting efforts to recruit low-income pregnant individuals into the study and conduct virtual health assessments with participants during pregnancy and after their child is born. This role is grant funded. This position will work Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm with some flexibility depending on study needs. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
