About The Position

The position entails full time management and coordination of the program for AI & Research in Cardiovascular Medicine. This includes research activities between the different team members, including multiple medical students and KUMC staff members, keeping a tally of day-to-day tasks, keeping research meeting minutes, tracking progress on assignments to different team members, moving the research projects to completion, writing abstracts/manuscripts, manuscript submission process including communicating with journals and timely resubmissions, helping prepare grant applications and applying for extramural funding.

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant work experience. Relevant education may substitute on a year for year basis.
  • Experience writing medical journals.
  • Experience working with grant applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience using Biostatistical software.
  • Communication.
  • Organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Delegate and coordinate assignments to team members, including medical students and other KUMC staff members.
  • Keep research meeting minutes.
  • Manage and track daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly task lists.
  • Write abstracts/manuscripts.
  • Process manuscript submissions, including communicating with journals and timely resubmissions.
  • Help prepare grant applications.
  • Request and obtain secure access to protected health information.
  • Comply and maintain data security per KUMC/TUKHS policies and approvals.
