About The Position

The Research and Evaluation Intern at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will work within the Research & Evaluation department to gain valuable skills in museum and nonprofit evaluation. This part-time internship focuses on evaluation planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the museum's understanding of its impact and decision-making processes. Interns will engage in collaborative services, support evaluation projects, and assist in operationalizing consulting services, all while collecting data from guests to measure their experiences and the impact of arts experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience effectively interacting with customers or in public-facing positions.
  • Ability to follow established data collection protocols and ensure quality data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in assigned projects and receive applicable training and support to engage in evaluation and research studies as appropriate.
  • Approach museum guests and invite them to participate in a research or evaluation study by responding to a survey or brief interview.
  • Conduct observations or other engagements with guests to gather information about their experiences or perspectives.
  • Follow established data collection protocols to ensure random sampling and track response rates.
  • Reliably and accurately gather data at scheduled times to meet monthly collection goals.

Benefits

  • Compensation for High School Interns: $12.00 an hour
  • Compensation for Undergraduate Interns: $13.00 an hour
