Lead the North American Packaging Engineering Team, driving continuous advancement in innovation, sustainability, and cost savings, thereby enhancing KCP's speed to market and overall cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of packaging engineering (packaging materials, converting, packaging equipment and processes) and packaging graphics/printing is required.
  • Understanding KCP functions/systems is preferred.
  • The incumbent must be highly analytical, organized and able to handle numerous, complex projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direction for a team of 4 Packaging Engineers and 1 Specification Coordinator.
  • Oversee packaging projects to ensure timely delivery for new product launches, lifecycle management (LCM) projects, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Champion innovative and sustainable practices within the Packaging Engineering team.
  • Implement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve market speed.
  • Maintain and manage the North American packaging specification system infrastructure.
  • Drive packaging innovation through the use of new materials and packaging design.
  • Manage own packaging projects within the IMF/LCM process.
  • Be the North American business contact for packaging and consultant for the EU, LAO & AP regions when required.
  • Drive packaging Force/BFS and Sustainability Programs.
  • Work with Packaging Graphics team to maintain/improve workflow processes.
  • Maintain hardware and software contracts required for the Packaging Team.
  • Oversee packaging engineering budget.
  • Manage packaging engineering/specification relationships with both KCP manufacturing facilities and external manufacturers.
  • Work with packaging suppliers to understand new materials and processes.
