About The Position

We are searching for an Undergraduate student to join the Quantum Research Department of the Communications, Information and Navigation Office (CINO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. The student will help build our new experiment regarding quantum frequency conversion in heterogeneous quantum networks. This experiment requires pressurized hydrogen gas and as such, we seek an individual who is comfortable with hands on work. The student will follow the piping schematic and assemble portions of the experiments. The end goal of this project is to connect to our already-existing entangled photon optical experiment and perform quantum frequency conversion. ARL at Penn State is an integral part of one of the leading research universities in the nation and serves as a University center of excellence in defense science, systems, and technologies with a focus in naval missions and related areas. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION on ARL, visit our web site at www.arl.psu.edu .
