About The Position

Pzena Investment Management, LLC is a registered investment adviser and broker-dealer managing approximately $90 billion in global equity assets. We provide equity investment management services for institutional investors, leading corporate, public and individual clients on a world-wide basis by way of separate accounts, sub-advised mutual funds, and other commingled vehicles since our firm founded in 1995. Our team of over 165 employees is mostly based in our headquarters in Manhattan, and we have additional offices in London, Dublin and Melbourne. We are a growing company, in the size of our team, our locations, and our assets under management. We seek partners, not just employees, at every level in the firm and are looking for an exceptional new team member to grow with us. At Pzena, we invest in your career and have a strong track record of internal mobility. Pzena Investment Management is a long-only deep value manager with a successful 30-year track record headquartered in New York. The firm currently manages over $75 billion in AUM and has experienced robust growth over time. Our mission is to be considered among the premiere value investing firms globally, and we attribute our historical success to an unwavering commitment to our value investing discipline and a relentless focus on investment excellence. We build concentrated portfolios of deeply undervalued companies by performing in-depth, bottom-up fundamental analysis applied to some of the most controversial and intellectually challenging investment opportunities in global equity markets. Our team is passionate about our mission and investment process, and we also take pride in our culture of partnership and support. We hire with the goal of developing Partners who will spend their careers at Pzena, and we are proud to be consistently rated one of the best places to work in the industry. Pzena Investment Management is seeking a highly qualified individual to join the firm as a Research Analyst on its equity research team. We follow a disciplined investment process to implement our classic value philosophy as described below. We seek to invest in good businesses trading at depressed valuations, typically due to company-specific or industry-wide stress. Each analyst on the team assumes coverage of one or more industries on a global basis, typically rotating to new coverage after 3-5 years. Analysts need not come in with prior industry expertise in their sectors of coverage and will develop expertise organically and over time. The substance of our work is to perform rigorous, in-depth analysis of key issues through industry research, review of public filings, and meetings with senior management. Final investment decisions are made collaboratively in research review meetings, where the analyst and portfolio managers arrive at consensus through discussion of key issues and review of financial models. Our typical investment holding period is 3-5 years, during which time we continually monitor developments and meet periodically with senior management. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time.

  • A strong work ethic.
  • Skilled in using business data to form inferences and to make informed decisions.
  • The ability to work in a self-managed environment as part of a research team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
