About The Position
The Washington, DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to join its team. This non-profit, public-private partnership is dedicated to facilitating economic development in the District of Columbia. The Research Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting WDCEP's mission by providing in-depth research and analysis that informs investment decisions for both public and private sectors. The position offers a unique opportunity to engage with various stakeholders, including business prospects, investors, and real estate brokers, while contributing to the development of key economic reports and profiles that highlight the business climate in DC. As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting custom research and analysis tailored to the needs of business prospects and investors. This includes overseeing the data collection and production of significant reports such as The DC Development Report and DC Neighborhood Profiles. You will also analyze key industry sectors to support business attraction, expansion, and retention efforts, producing reports that focus on targeted industry clusters. Additionally, the role involves visualizing data through geospatial and mapping applications, maintaining a real estate development database, and tracking various economic indicators to provide insights into business trends. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be expected to manage multiple projects effectively and serve as a knowledge broker for DC's development landscape. This role not only allows for a deep understanding of the city's economic environment but also provides opportunities to build relationships across both public and private sectors. The Research Analyst will report directly to the COO and will have the chance to participate in various conferences and economic development neighborhood tours, further enhancing their professional experience.
