Support the laser spectroscopy research program at ATLAS Conduct stable-beam experiments using the ATLANTIS beamline Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the ATLANTIS control system Assist with the setup and commissioning of the N=126 laser spectroscopy beamline Education and Experience Requirements Fundamental knowledge of stopped-beam experiments, laser spectroscopy, and ion-optics Prior experience working in a scientific laboratory environment Basic programming skills, including Python and database handling Demonstrated scientific integrity, with strong documentation and record-keeping practices Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test. Must complete a satisfactory background check.
