About The Position

The expansion of specialized hardware and novel accelerators in the HPC space increases the complexity of designing systems. As a result, novel tools are needed to enable system designers to predict the performancecharacteristics of novel, highly heterogeneous compute systems on tasks relevant to DOE priorities. The SystemFlow performance modeling framework enables such analyses, and this summer project will focus on expanding its library of applications, system components, available examples, and documentation. This will improve the accessibility and capabilities of the SystemFlow framework, enabling system designers to efficiently explore the design spaces of next-generation HPC systems.
