The Michigan Center for Translational Pathology (MCTP) is seeking a hybrid Research Administrator Senior to serve as the primary financial contact for the Michigan Prostate SPORE and to provide support for other research administration duties for the center. This multifaceted role requires management expertise to handle the various timelines, roles, and responsibilities associated with the grant. Additionally, it includes organizing and managing related activities directly with grant sponsors, such as reporting requirements and project coordination. This role will coordinate and manage budgets for financials specializing in both pre- and post-award activities. The preferred candidate will have experience within academic research settings and with UM policies and regulations to be able to interface with other institutions, departments, and offices within the university. The MCTP is a center under the umbrella of the Department of Pathology. The successful candidate for this position will have advanced knowledge of principles, practices and procedures used in research administration and will use this knowledge to continue to build on our high level of customer service. The ability to contribute independently, take strategic initiative and communicate clearly are key to success in this role.
