The Basic Sciences Division is one of six scientific Divisions at Fred Hutch and is comprised of 28 faculty-led laboratories. Research Administrators (RA) provide pre- and post-award support for scientists that are focused on understanding the normal molecular functioning of cells as well as the disruption that causes complex diseases like cancer and HIV infection. The Basic Sciences Division at Fred Hutch is seeking an experienced Research Administrator IV to facilitate the work of our preeminent scientists. This position will be one of a current team of RAs supporting the Division's growing faculty. The position serves as a liaison between the laboratories and the administrative departments and as such has an opportunity to provide a broad array of administrative support functions. The RA plans for and ensures compliant and effective funding, budget and regulatory administration and general administrative support for one or several Principal Investigators and their labs/departments. The RA collaborates with Principal Investigators and interfaces with other departments as needed on administrative and strategic planning and works autonomously to complete nonscientific grant content and tasks, facilitate human resource activities in the laboratories, advises the PIs on relevant matters and develops effective solutions to related issues.
