The Career Advisor position involves building a professional one-on-one working relationship with clients to aid in eliminating challenges that hinder obtaining and retaining employment. Responsibilities include assessment, individualized attention, and coordination, as well as providing consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up. The advisor will conduct new customer orientations, ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract, and work with schools and management to ensure appropriate documentation is completed. Maintaining an organized database of clients and detailed documentation of all contacts is essential. The advisor will also provide individualized assessments of work, referrals to community or social service agencies, and ensure participants follow through with planned activities. Collaboration with the business services team to identify job opportunities and necessary qualifications is also a key part of the role, along with participation in training and professional development activities. The advisor will work with leadership to identify operational challenges and design process improvements, provide operational support, assist in intake services, and ensure compliance with standards.
