About The Position

This project supports trenching/excavation work (up to 10 ft ) and related activities at TSMC. You will serve as the on-site standby Rescue Technician , ensuring entry/excavation work is performed safely and in compliance with site requirements. This is a professional, client-facing role—expect strict documentation, PPE, and access rules.

Requirements

  • Verifiable Confined Space Rescue training/certification (recognized provider).
  • Rope rescue capability/training (high-angle fundamentals strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience working as standby rescue / rescue watch / entry attendant on industrial construction sites.
  • Familiar with permit systems , rescue procedures, and jobsite documentation.
  • Comfortable working around excavation activities and industrial hazards.
  • Professional communication; able to stay composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to pass site onboarding requirements (background/drug screen as required by site).

Nice To Haves

  • Data center / semiconductor / high-compliance site experience (TSMC, Intel, etc.).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • OSHA-10/30.
  • Proven experience with rescue gear inspection logs and air-monitor documentation.
  • Ability to support multiple crews/entry points if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide standby rescue coverage for permit-required confined space and/or trench/excavation activities as designated by site leadership.
  • Verify readiness: rescue plan, communication method, access/egress, and required controls.
  • Conduct and document air monitoring activities when required (4-gas use, readings, verification).
  • Inspect and stage rescue equipment as required (tripod/winch/SRL/harness/retrieval systems, rope rescue gear where applicable).
  • Maintain constant situational awareness, keep the work area controlled/barricaded, and stop work if conditions become unsafe.
  • Complete daily documentation: entry logs, equipment inspections, readings, incident/near-miss notes, and shift handoffs.
  • Coordinate professionally with the client HSE team, foremen, and entry supervisors.
