Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AS 400, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as internet navigation and other miscellaneous computer software as required by suppliers.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably a college degree with prior experience in the metals industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new accounts while maintaining existing ones.
  • Ensure margin optimization.
  • Meet or exceed specified sales and tonnage targets annually.
  • Provide quarterly forecasts for budgeting purposes.
  • Explore and exploit sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Foster relationships with key decision-makers in both current and potential customer bases.
  • Deliver value-added propositions to customers and the organization.
  • Initiate and oversee quotes/contracts between customers and Samuel, serving as the primary point of contact for any issues, concerns, or opportunities within the designated territory.
  • Manage inventory and expenses effectively.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our capabilities and products within the Samuel organization, as well as a thorough understanding of competitor profiles in the territory.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences within the assigned territory.
  • Continuously pursue personal development opportunities to enhance effectiveness within the territory.
