Job overview and responsibilities Maintenance Planners are the main liaison between technicians and management for all support functions associated with production. They fulfill several critical functions in the production process: Analyze maintenance performance and use results to define what resources (labor, materials, etc) are needed to meet production requirements Lead a variety of planning, scheduling, and documentation activities in both in the shop and the support office Communicate with production management on the status of paper packages and other issues that require immediate attention Coordinate with planners, buyers, material coordinators, and production supervisors to obtain piece parts needed for production Custodian for each part’s paper package, which is used to track all repairs and ensure appropriate engineering service bulletins are accomplished Validate all labor data transactions and any other required computer system data updates Package validation and preparation Account for all tasks, audit and finalize package for records retention Increased regulatory compliance by validating all required documents are provided to records department in allotted time More accurate time tracking increasing quality of data which enhances future event span requirement periodically Review and verify daily labor hours in online management system (PCS) and make corrections as needed Corrections include adding, modifying, and deleting labor as necessary Parts ordering and follow-up with key stakeholders such as AOG/ Inventory Planning/ Base Controllers to ensure we meet production schedule Data entry and validation in multiple systems such as SCEPTRE, PCS and TOCS Review and analyze shop production data repair vs. purchase cost working closely with the shop team to make timely decisions and meet production schedule Please be aware, this position does require you have the ability to work weekends. As weekends will be part of your regular scheduled week.
