Under minimal supervision, the Reporting and Data Analyst is responsible for leading complex analytical projects to include the collection and analysis of data to report on key performance metrics for business stakeholders. Designs and implements advanced processes, develops innovative solutions, and drives strategic data initiatives.

  • Utilize various data sources to build standardized and ad hoc organizational reporting for use across departments to understand current state of the business and forecast trends.
  • Transform raw data from a wide variety of data sources both structured and unstructured into comprehensive and actionable analytics.
  • Extract insights and knowledge from data and communicate the results in visual, written, and verbal form to aid the organization in high-level decision making and strategic planning.
  • Design, develop, and oversee complex reports and dashboards by blending data, creating action filters, parameters that define, identify, and track key performance metrics.
  • Ensure data dictionary, canonical models, and metric definitions are updated, maintained, and governed according to best practices.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine creation, delivery, and enhancements of reports and dashboards, tailoring solutions to meet strategic business needs.
  • Ensuring that dashboards and reports are optimized for performance is crucial. Improving load times, enhancing responsiveness, and handling large datasets efficiently.
  • Serves as an effective business partner in cross functional team collaborations.
  • Provide support to employees, vendors, or other customers by answering questions related to processes, procedures, and technology.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Stay current on the latest industry technologies, trends, and strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position requires a minimum of four years with advanced proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Advanced data analysis skills working with large unstructured, semi structured and structured data sets is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau is required, R and Alteryx is beneficial.
  • Ability to use visualizations to explore data, make data driven decisions, and create a compelling story is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • Extensive use of SQL and Python to analyze the data is required.
  • Data management and ETL skills are required.
  • Advanced relational database (RDMS) is required, non-relational (NoSQL) data platforms is nice to have.
  • Experience in handling large volumes of data. Identifying patterns and meaningful insights from data by analyzing it.
  • Building interactive dashboards efficiently is required.
  • Possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust to changing requirements is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to present information in a concise and easily comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, work well independently and in a team is vital.

  • Experience working in building dashboards and reports in data lakes is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with store operations, HCM, LMS and Finance data is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts such as measures of central tendency, statistical significance, effect size, correlation, and linear regression is beneficial.
  • Experience with machine learning can also be beneficial.
