About The Position

An experienced reporter needed for Pittsburgh's radio news leader. Candidates must possess a strong writing style, captivating delivery, and ability to work with an award winning news team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to street reporting, newscast anchoring, delivering on-air traffic reports, conducting interviews, covering news stories, operating audio equipment, writing news scripts. Candidates must possess a strong social media acumen. Hours include weekdays and occasional weekends. A college education is preferred. This is an evergreen posting. Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years anchoring or reporting news for broadcast media.
Must be computer literate and have excellent writing skills.
The Position requires proficiency in editing and packaging news sound and interviews.
Position requires contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery.
Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential
Employees of Audacy are required to be a minimum of 21 years of age to operate any vehicle, including Company-owned, leased, rented, or personal vehicles, when such operation is conducted on behalf of Audacy.
Driving is an essential function of this role.
A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.

Nice To Haves

4 year degree in journalism is preferred.

Responsibilities

Produce and record news segments.
Gather, write, record, edit and deliver news content inclusive of providing live coverage when breaking news occurs.
Interview news makers.
Write scripts and ad-libbing material for stories.
Update and utilize station social media platforms.
Develop and research potential news stories.
Anchor multi-hour news shifts on a news-talk station.
Deliver traffic reports for multiple stations.
Protecting the station’s FCC license.
Make station appearances as required.
Other duties as required by management.
