WWSB-TV / ABC7 in Sarasota, Florida, is searching for our next Multi-Media Journalist. This person should consider themselves both a Digital First innovator and a Lead Story Reporter. Our MMJs are team players and serve our community. They partner with producers and managers to break and ultimately update their coverage. Most stories are day-turns, but we also want to grow a culture of planning, yielding special enterprise coverage. As an MMJ, you'll go live multiple times a day. Our teammates are just as comfortable delivering breaking news in the field as they are from our newsroom and our CTV / Live Desk. You'll be expected to strive for excellence with lighting, visual sequencing, including natural sound and emotionally driven soundbites. We want you to focus on lead stories by developing strong sources. Ultimately, this is a chance to challenge yourself, have fun and track your growth. A positive attitude and ability to engage our audience on-air and on digital platforms is a must. NOTE: WWSB-TV monitors and regularly covers extreme weather threats, including strong Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. All journalists play a vital role in the ABC7 newsroom response, helping connect viewers and digital users with life-saving news and information.
