Requirements

  • Experience in grocery or supply chain preferred
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience in dealing with large integrated computer systems and PC skills
  • Computer workstation, accessing Albertsons forecasting and buying systems, warehouse management systems, appointment scheduling software for inbound product receiving, company email, and reporting and reference systems, Excel, MS Word, and other company tools
  • Above average skills or potential using MS Excel and other complex computer software
  • Excellent math and accounting skills; attention to detail
  • Must be able to organize data and present information
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
  • Bachelor's degree, in business or supply chain preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Demand Planning team to develop and implement accurate sales forecasts for approx. 2000 assigned items
  • Purchases product from approx. 125 supply partners, at lowest possible cost
  • Optimizes service level to stores with a minimum inventory investment
  • Expedited deliveries and on time arrivals to minimize lost sales situations
  • Continuously works with Business Managers to support opportunities to drive sales
  • Manages many data parameters in complex systems used to plan and control service level and inventory
  • Works closely with the Transportation Dep. personnel to minimize transportation cost of receiving product, whenever possible
  • Works with Inventory Control to maximize product quality and inventory accuracy
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
