The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Quality Department.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation - maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Repairs marked defect with provided tools and equipment
  • Checks overall product for other defects not marked.
  • Audits to product to ensure the wood color is correct.
  • Utilizes knowledge of parts specifications, characteristics, and wood to know when a part cannot be fixed.
  • Knowledge of production and job ticket labels or paperwork to identify and verify parts.
  • Returns repaired parts to the proper location by verifying paperwork/job ticket labels.
  • Operates and maintains repair tools by setting up and adjusting equipment
  • Blends colors to repair items without causing further damage.
  • Reads air pressure gauge for proper set-up of equipment after product painting
  • Repairs item quickly to stay within the production schedule.
  • Communicates with Department Supervisor/Lead person Daily/weekly toolbox meetings
  • Assists other repair areas as needed.
