About The Position

Responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repair assembly on computers. To include, but not limited to, notebooks, chromebooks, desktops and/or monitors. Duties/Responsibilities Disassembly and reassembly of computers and peripherals Chromebook repairs including OS reloads CSS application process repairs Successfully test, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware/software issues. Ability to identify, document and report quality issues. Good motor skills and the ability to use hand tools and other small equipment to successfully perform the repairs. Requires a high and consistent throughout on repairs. Attention to detail is necessary. Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality are required. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and work independently to solve them.
  • Strong technical knowledge required.
  • Previous repair experience is necessary.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Computer Science field, preferred
  • A+ Certification is preferred, but not required
  • Expected to perform work functions at the office 5 days per week.
  • work is performed full- time, Monday through Friday during standard working hours; day shift 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, must be able to work a shift schedule that falls during these workdays and hours.
  • Flexible hours with the possibility of overtime/weekends.
  • Ability to maintain a 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance average.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift, see, hear, and climb stairs within the facility.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands while using repair tools, for keyboarding and for telephone operation.
  • Fine motor skills are necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee must regularly lift or move 45 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate with peers and supervisors via telephone and in person.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in ambient room temperatures with lighting and traditional warehousing equipment as found in typical, climate-controlled warehouse and office environments.
  • Warehousing equipment such as person lifts and forklifts may be present.
  • Watching and listening for traffic is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to safely use and operate hand tools including; soldering tools, plyers, vacuums/blowers, and screwdrivers.
  • Maintaining equipment could include the use of chemicals including cleaning and greasing / de-greasing agents.
  • Due to the use of tools, the presence of heavy equipment, and use of chemicals / cleaning agents, this position is considered safety sensitive.
