About The Position

This position is responsible for performing necessary repairs to the construction and military products built at the North American headquarters.

Requirements

  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.
  • High school diploma
  • Two to three years of experience with assembly
  • Pass technical and practical testing on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Forklift certification, if required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and self-directed.
  • Multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Flexibility with work activities; available to work overtime
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pneumatic or various hand tools and/or heavy equipment or the demonstrated ability to learn.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. repetitively
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule which may include Saturday and/or Sunday
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions.
  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.
  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed.
  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force.
  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training in construction equipment repair or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience with assembly in a related industry.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair defects, along with retrofitting machines in the Assembly repair area.
  • Responsible for filling out daily reports.
  • Work closely with the quality group and assembly area supplying real-time feedback to help improve quality.
  • Perform diagnostic tests.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Operate in a safe manner.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned
