The Repair Technician is responsible for repairing headsets returned by customers, as distributed for repair by the Repair Tech Lead Person. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required: Receives work assignments from Repair Tech Lead Person. Reviews information provided by Lead. Gathers parts needed for the repair. Repairs broken or damaged products. After completing repair, retests product to ensure repair was effective. At end of each day brings completed work to packing area to be shipped. Ensures that when inventory is low to reorder spare parts as needed. Pulls all approved headsets off shelves, includes needed paperwork, and stacks for future repair. Other duties as required. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Employee works under general supervision. Employee has little or no decision-making responsibility. The employee has little or no impact on the decisions of others. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Electronic background. Production background. Position requires basic data input into company software systems such as email or customer service database. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School or GED required , electronic education, preferred. 1-3 years of experience repairing damaged items. Basic, introductory on-the-job training. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands/Efforts Dexterity to work with the small parts in the headset. Prolonged periods of sitting. Little or no physical exertion. Mental & Visual Demands/Efforts Work is routine and consistent from day to day. Visual acuity to see small parts of the headset. Working with small parts. Work occasionally requires visual effort for extended periods of time. Work Environment and Hazards Some exposure to heat, dust or other factors of minor inconvenience. Infrequent exposure to hazards that require the exercise of caution with little likelihood of injury.
