Location: 5304 TX-34, Greenville, TX 75402 Job Summary: This role involves performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers to ensure they are in safe and efficient working conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience with truck and trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical, and structural components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus)
  • Minimum three years of experience as a trailer mechanic or in a related field (certified Diesel Mechanic is a plus)
  • Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspensions, and electrical wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus
  • certified Diesel Mechanic is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers, including brakes, axles, suspensions, lights, and structural components. Light maintenance on trucks.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical trailer issues efficiently.
  • Replace or repair tires, wheel hubs, landing gear, doors, and other trailer components as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records electronically of work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with fleet managers, drivers, and team members regarding maintenance needs and repair status. Provide updates to key stakeholders daily.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, safety protocols, and emerging technologies related to fleet maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
