The Repair Technician III performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Position Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to repair Small Unmanned Arial System products in our SUAS manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system Assembly and Disassembly of various Line Replaceable Units (LRU) Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies Soldering is one of the duties performed in this role Works with other Repair Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve upon any documents related to the assembly process at the required high quality standard Working with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs and validate released assembly/ fabrication documentation Responsible for ensuring that work order protocols are followed and that work order paperwork is completed as the work is performed May also train other technicians to build a product or follow an established assembly process May conduct in-process quality checks to ensure that items built are to established high quality standards Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations Other duties as assigned
