Position Summary: The Repair Station Technician to work in a FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station with a great attitude, multi-tasking skills and the ability to work on many different units in a short time. The individual that we seek is excited to come to work and is motivated by the idea of being involved in trouble shooting and repairing parts on tight schedules. This hourly position will report directly to the MRO Manager. This individual performs component analysis and completion work for MRO units and all documentation required by FAA regulations. The technician will work closely with Customer Service Representatives, Purchasing and QA to ensure quoted lead times and Turn Around Time (TAT) are met.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); A & P license (optional), 1-2yrs related experience and/or training
  • Employee will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Improve work methods and tooling
  • Report any safety problems to management
  • Follow all environmental, health and safety policies
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Manage ones own time efficiently
  • Evaluate self work to ensure compliance with work instructions and standards
  • Perform intermediate repair operation including bench assembly/disassembly, test, soldering, flaring, riveting, tube bending and mechanical assembly of high quality products efficiently, accurately, safely and on time
  • Use oven, drill press, parts washer, bearing press, down draft table, ultra sonic cleaner, balancer and vacuum pump
  • Use electronic devices such as multi meter, power supplies, ESDS wrist bands, hydrogen leak detector, RPM meter, AMP meter, hi pot tester, tension meter, mili ohm meter, vibration meter, digital thermometer and LCR- capacitance tester
  • Using hand tools, drills, calipers, heat gun, die grinder, height gages, bench center, lock wire pliers, blind rivet guns, torque wrenches, safety cable tool and nutsert installation tool.
  • Use current drawings and/or schematics to assemble/repair
  • Clock in and out of bar codes to begin and complete work orders
  • Read and answer email daily
  • Using basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Electronic Test Data
  • Wearing the proper safety equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
