About The Position

Eaton’s Fluid & Electrical Distribution division is seeking an aftermarket Repair Station Accountable Manager in our Beltsville, MD location. Candidates must be local and commutable to our Beltsville location as relocation assistance is not available. The expected annual salary range for this role is $149000 - $219000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Our site of approximately 500 employees is a leader in the design, development, and production of Aerospace environmental control system components, systems, and services supporting global OEM and aftermarket customers. What you’ll do: In this role reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead and operate a certified FAA Part 145 Repair Station at our Beltsville, MD facility. The Repair Station Accountable Manager is responsible for all maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activity, ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, CAAC, ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, and Eaton Quality System standards. This leader will drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, safety, training, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Beltsville Repair Station. Operational Leadership • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Part 145 Repair Station. • Manage and optimize production schedules, workflow, manpower, and material requirements to meet delivery and cost targets. • Ensure all repair station activities comply with 14 CFR Part 145, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. • Lead maintenance, inspection, and administrative personnel while fostering a high-performance, process-driven culture. • Maintain shop equipment, tooling, and facilities, and ensure appropriate technical data is available to technicians. Regulatory & Quality Compliance • Serve as the Accountable Manager per FAA Part 145 requirements. • Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA/CAAC/ITAR regulations and quality standards. Maintain capabilities lists, certifications, training records, and manuals. • Oversee internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections. • Ensure adherence to Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and all approved technical data. People Leadership & Development • Support supervisors in coaching and developing employees. • Manage technician training programs to meet FAA requirements. • Build organizational capability through talent development and succession planning. Customer, Commercial & Technical Support • Maintain strong customer relationships through responsiveness, communication, and high-quality performance. • Support growth initiatives, recovery plans, and customer satisfaction goals. • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Business Development to secure new qualifications, repairs, and product offerings. • Maintain working knowledge of repair manuals, parts lists, service bulletins, and related technical resources. Continuous Improvement & Performance Management • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. • Monitor and report key operating metrics including: o Safety (TRCR, DACR) o Quality (DPPM, First Pass Yield) o OTD & TAT o Sales (volume & growth) o Profitability, Productivity & Financial Budget • Drive a visually managed, process-oriented work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station or military aviation environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accountable Manager in a Part 145 environment
  • Minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8U.S.C. § 1158.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 145 & Part 21)
  • Technical aviation maintenance background (A&P preferred but not required)
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and quality auditing
  • Proficiency with Six Sigma tools (A3, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, SPC, MSA, DOE, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or Engineering) from an accredited institution
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • ASQ certifications such as CQE or CMQ/OE
