About The Position

The Walling Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a related mechanical/electrical repair role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or training in a related trade or technical discipline.
  • Experience with inventory management systems or repair ticketing software.
  • Familiarity with Profit 21 ERP system.
  • Valid driver's license (for field service work).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps and related rotating equipment.
  • Disassemble, clean, and rebuild units; replace or adjust defective parts as needed.
  • Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
  • Perform technical services including start-ups, installations, and field repairs.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding repair status and recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
  • Stay current with new products, repair methods, and technical updates.
